Sears Woodlands closing sale Part 2

Part two is various photos of the store during the closing sale.

Here is the mall directory and a closing advertisement posted near the mall entrance.

The first floor contained automotive, hardware, electronics, home goods, appliances, furniture, and lawn and garden optical, and the hearing aid departments.

The second floor featured the clothing departments.
Here are a few images of the entrance to the store.

Goodbye Sears Woodlands a 3 part special.

Here is the Sears at the Woodlands Mall in the Woodlands Texas before the store closing sale. Sears sold several locations to General Growth properties in early 2012 to raise cash. This is one of the premier malls in the Houston area which will replace the Sears with Nordstrom in 2014. This Sears store closed on February 03, 2013. This is a three part special that will show the before, during, and last day of the closing sale of this store.

As you can tell from the above photos of the first floor, this Sears store was an ordinary Sears that was built in the mid 1990's. All of the clothing was located on the second floor of this location which is different from most Sears stores I have visited. I have several photos coming up the next two parts of this special, and several more articles on the way.

Houston Pavillions 2013 (Until April 04, 2013)

(My apologies in advance of this blog post, why is the new blogger format such a pain to create a post now? I cannot get the text aligned like I was able to in the past.)
As of April 04, 2013 Houston Pavilions will undergo a name change according to the Pavilions website. These photos were taken on a weeknight when most of the entertainment options were closed.

Entertainment options, restaurants, and office developments have taken up most of the space in this center with retail options very limited. Forever 21 and BCBG MaxAzria are the last two retail outlets remaining.

Macy's is in the background of the Houston Pavilions sign in this photo.

Here are some views of the first level.

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar and Lucky Strike Lanes are a weekend favorite. House of Blues is also here.

BCBGMaxAzria is one of the retailers that opened with the center.

Books A Million closed at the end of 2012. Macy's is rumored to possibly be a candidate to open here to replace the store that is closing across the street. This space is much smaller than what they are leaving behind. The Macy's store that is closing was five stories of shopping and twelve stories total with a basement level connected to the tunnels.
