This is an upscale mall located at 333 Canal Street in downtown New Orleans. This mall is three levels and features a food court and cinema on the third level. Saks Fifth Avenue is the three level anchor to the mall. A hotel and office tower are also attached to the mall. The mall opened in the 1980's and suffered damage after Hurricane Katrina but opened just a few months after the Hurricane.
A view of One Canal Place and Saks Fifth Avenue which are both part of the mall development.
The main entrance to the mall.
The mall has several directories.
1980's style elevators that go up to the hotel at high speeds and provide an excellent view of nearby high rises once the car passes the third floor.
The main court of the mall.
Many high-end retailers are located here to spend your cash or credit cards.
A view of the Food Court from across the third level. Take a look on the first floor to see a piano.
In 1987 Canal Place had the following Food Court restaurants.
Cafe Portofino
Cafe Nuege
English Carvery
Kaleidoscope
Mrs. Fields Cookies
Panda Cafe
Papa's Cantina
River Grille
Sbarro's
Saks has entrances on all three levels and has taken over parts of the mall also.
The cinema and part of the food court.
Nothing says 1980's like the entrance to this gym.
Most of the food court photos came out blurry; this is the only decent one.
