Windsor Park Mall Update September 2011

Windsor Park Mall still stands mainly unchanged on the outside but has been gutted on the inside according to this you tube video.

The former Mervyn's anchor has been renovated into the main offices for Rackspace.

Dillards and JCPenney

The former Dillards appears to be under construction for more office space.

Montgomery Wards

The food court is in the back of the mall behind this fence.

This is one of the signs still remaining from the mall.

Just down I-35 from the mall is this closed Circuit City location; an original plug entrance.

Windsor Park Mall San Antonio

Windsor Park Mall closed in 2005 and portions of the mall property have been renovated for a company named Rackspace. The Mervyn's building has been completely renovated into office space. I did not get any pictures of the former Mervyn's that is on the east side of the mall. There are further articles of this mall on deadmalls.com that tell the story about this mall. There are also videos on the rackspace site that show the inside of the mall. I went to this mall one time in 2004 and there were only a handful of stores left including Mervyn's. Also of note; this mall was in the 1980's movie Cloak and Dagger according to imdb.com.
