Post Oak Mall: College Station Texas

Post Oak Mall is located in College Station Texas; a mid sized city 90 miles northwest of Houston. Post Oak Mall is a large regional center with most of the popular shops that you find in most middle tier malls. More information about this mall can be located on the blog In, Around, and About Brazos Valley.

Here are some photos of the interior of the mall. The neon is very similar to the Mall of the Mainland in Texas City, but this mall has much more neon.

  1. Thanks for the plug! Yup, but don't let Post Oak Mall fool you: it has had better days. I recently found out the vacancy is at 13% here.

  2. The neon days are over; the mall has removed all of the neon as part of the renovation. New floors, new entrances to the mall, and new colors are part of the renovation.

  3. It's such a shame that the mall's changed from this style, I never got the chance to see it like this. Sure wish I did.

    1. I really wish I had gone back with an updated camera before the mall was renovated. I need to take a trip down here to see how the mall is doing now. I know the Macy's and Bealls closed unfortunately.

    2. Sears is gone too. The mall is uh... hangin in there. The owner is cheap, rent is high, and its mostly shoe stores. Its still a nice walk through though. EarthBound finally moved to a larger storefront! Most of the city's permanent residents want it back to this style, wish it didnt feel like a "run down starbucks". Since we're a college town, none of the other half (our rotating population) know it use to look like this. These are just my observations and convos with other locals and store managers. Take it all with a grain of salt.
